What The Night He Came Home covers

If you want to learn the pace alone, start with The Night He Came Home. It is a standalone story from Michael Myers’ perspective, recreating Halloween night in 1978 Haddonfield. Published material describes a Prologue plus five chapters, with challenges and collectibles in each chapter and replay support after completion.

Why it is a good first step for Michael

The story puts stealth, dark movement, Shape Jump, Killer Sense and environmental interaction into controlled objectives. That makes it a useful way to learn Michael’s basic language. Multiplayer Civilian matches still require separate practice with residents, phones, police and escapes; story mode does not replace team play.

First run versus replay

  1. On the first run, follow the main objective and learn how the chapter advances and what counts as failure.
  2. On the second run, use the chapter challenge list to pick up collectibles, special executions or route conditions.
  3. If you need to compare an ending or exit, replay the relevant late chapter instead of restarting the whole story.
  4. Bring that knowledge into a private AI match before moving into live multiplayer.
