Playable characters and NPC boundaries

Think of the roster in two sides: Michael Myers / The Shape and Haddonfield Heroes or Civilians. Launch material confirms Michael plus 10 playable Civilians; Digital Deluxe adds two exclusive Civilians, Richard and Alexis. Residents and police are interactive NPCs in a match, not automatically selectable player characters.

Faction determines the objective

Michael creates pressure through stealth, darkness and executions. Civilians search for everyday items, help residents, contact police and look for an escape window. The official progression material also gives Civilians Personality, Resourcefulness and Capability attributes, so choosing a side changes how you solve objectives, not just how your character looks.

What to check when choosing a character

  • To learn stealth and environmental executions, start with the solo story from Michael’s perspective.
  • To practice cooperation and information sharing, enter a Civilian match and check phones, residents and escape objectives first.
  • When comparing characters, record official attributes, starting items and Perk Card notes rather than relying on an unverified tier list.
  • Treat Deluxe characters as edition content; do not describe them as owned by every player.

Limits and sources

The complete skill values for each Civilian have not been published. Sources: official website, Xbox product page and Progression & Customization.
