Four XP tracks and Perk Points

The easiest progression mistake is treating XP and Perk Points as the same thing. The official Progression & Customization Overview separates Profile, Killer, Civilian and Weapon XP. Perk Points are a separate resource for Civilian Perk Cards and Perk Decks. Civilians also have Personality, Resourcefulness and Capability attributes, while challenges and Prestige provide longer-term goals.

Keep XP and Perk Points separate

The four XP tracks show which part of the game you are growing in. Perk Points affect how you draw, upgrade or manage cards. If you treat them as one currency, you can end up watching a level number without knowing which progression track your next match should improve.

A sensible investment order

1. Pick a main direction first: Michael, Civilian or a particular weapon type.
2. Use Profile XP for overall growth, then use Killer, Civilian and Weapon XP for the specific play style. Do not compare levels across tracks as if they were equivalent.
3. Spend early Perk Points on a usable Civilian deck. Chase rarer cards or Prestige after the basic loop feels familiar.
4. When a challenge is complete, note which XP track or card resource it affected instead of repeatedly farming the same target.
5. Drop rates, complete level thresholds and every rarity have not been published officially, so do not treat third-party tier lists as confirmed data.
